My experience? I have been a web designer over 15 years, designed my own themes by hand, and have built hundreds of websites, and now I have my own agency. You could easily use this single theme, change the colors and elements, and never have a complaint from a client. I have personally found it to be amazing, and anyone who enjoyed Artisteer will love this software! My favorite theme that TemplateToaster has is "Real Steel". Some things are different like TemplateToaster does have a universal color chooser like Artisteer, and it offers more features and it could easily be considered next-gen Artisteer software. First thing I noticed is it has a similar look and feel to Artisteer.

After they went under, I have searched for software like that for years until I finally stumbled across TemplateToaster. My company made somewhere between 70-90K from custom themes over the next few years until 2014 or 2015 when Artisteer went out of business.
I constantly used it to build websites when the client needed a custom design. It allowed you to make templates for Wordpress, Joomla, Blogger, and HTML. So back story: in 2009 I discovered web design software known as Artisteer. By the way, I AM NOT PAID BY THESE PEOPLE. So I have been working with this software a few days and it is awesome! I'm not sure why the negative reviews other than they don't understand web design software. TemplateToaster is awsome! Please read my review! Many advices for Joomla templates Beez and Protostar in the internet. You can give it a nice look too, customizing many details. I'm using now Beez3, which comes with Joomla and which will be updated by the same Joomla. Paypal doesn't help, if you buy wrong stuff. And important: Even with Paypal you won't get your money back. Don`t waste your money into silly things. Whenever you want to change something you need them and you must pay every time a huge amount for maintenance. If they manage to resolve, that would be ok, but then you are never independant again. They always want to solve the problem getting into the backend. Now I learnt that these menus aren't compatible with Joomla, they are only for Wordpress: FRAUDE !!!!! Discussions and discussions and at the end I got back 90 €.

I liked the menus of the Pro and purchased it. For everything better you need to buy the Pro Version = 150 €.

But the header I configured didn't install with the template. They helped, sent me a template ready to install. This is no program to make a good template. Otherwise this is pretty useless.ĭon't lose your money. Should you buy? Only if you like one of their templates and need a WYSIWYG editor to make changes to it.

And, you know what, you have to limit yourself to the templates that they have, or create one from scratch - you can't use any other templates!!! And, after the latest WP update things seem to have broken, at least for WP, as some of the features are not working. So you have to stay within the limitation of the interface. No option to edit code anywhere! No flexibility. Seriously? UI is decent for WYSIWYG but that is all there is. You can't import or edit existing work once you've exported. Even when I said "1* for customer service" they didn't bother to even respond and apologize! Features not working like they should.
Ask a simple question on FB page, they take a few days to respond - and the response is on the lines of "you can contact support from the Website." There again the person takes ages to respond. Pro Version User Pathetic customer service. Pro Version - Poor Customer Service / Extremely Limited Functionality
