I know this is not an image or video editor, but it would be helpful to be able to place one image on top of another.
#Snagit screen capture software
º I would like to have the ability to put an image on the screenshot that I am editing, when I want to attach several images into one I have to resort to external software or simply use MS Paint, this is cumbersome since I want everything to be inside from one platform without resorting to others to edit an image capture. I would like to be able to change certain elements or simply remove them so that they are not in the way since I do not use everything 100% of this platform or sometimes I simply take screenshots without making any edits since usually I just need to send something with a simple screenshot of screen. Also, I can have a floating widget that also allows me to start capturing whenever I want.Ĭons: º I would like that in the toolbar I can customize the order of the tools that are established in this software.

I find it easier to be able to do it this way since I only have to press a few keys to be able to capture what I need at a certain moment, thus saving me time in clicking or searching for the software to start a screenshot. º I can put keyboard shortcuts to indicate a recording or screenshot. Also, it saves me a lot of time just taking screenshots and editing in the same place without having to open an external program, locate the image and use complex tools just to put a few simple things.

I can put almost anything on the image the instant I take the screenshot, I like it that way because it gives me more accessibility and ease in editing a screenshot when I want to put a description or something inside the image that helps guide to which you are going to visualize the image and do not get lost. º It is very useful to be able to edit a screenshot without using external image editors just to add some elements to the image.
#Snagit screen capture install
In addition, I was able to install Snagit on Mac and Windows without any problem since it is cross-platform, which gives me the possibility of having the same software on both operating systems and thus not having confusion by using two different software for screenshots. º The simplicity of its use was what prompted me to opt for this product since I did not need many steps to configure the video quality nor did I get lost when recording or taking a screenshot. Also, I've kept it in the background and I don't realize it's there except when I want to take a screenshot or record something specific. I've tried recording screen while listening to music, playing a video or just presenting a PowerPoint slide and everything works fine. º It does not consume so many resources so its performance is very optimal. This platform allows the integration of applications that store files in the cloud so I can configure it so that each recording or screenshot goes directly to the cloud without doing it manually, allowing me to have my files on any device that can access the manager of files in the cloud that I have integrated. On the other hand, Greenshot is limited to, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, and other traditional apps.Pros: º The main thing I like about this software is that I can sync your generated files to the cloud without even downloading a cloud file manager. However, as Snagit is more advanced than Greenshot, you will find modern apps like Slack, Twitter,, SharePoint, etc.

#Snagit screen capture free
Though Greenshot is free to use, it does offer some handy app integrations allowing you to quickly share or upload a screenshot to cloud storage or other apps. You can use templates to create better-looking images with your captured screenshots. Greenshot doesn’t get custom templates while Snagit offers it thereby boosting productivity. This is another area where Snagit outperforms Greenshot. The highlight of the video editor is that it is possible to create a GIF or animated photo using images. However, Snagit comes with a video editing window similar to its image editing panel, which lets you do basic editing even if you are a beginner. Greenshot doesn’t have the screen recording feature.
